I just came back from visiting my in-laws on the 1st day of Chinese New Year. It is drizzling now and I am supposed to be taking a nap but I find myself blogging instead. This year, CNY is slightly different as my spouse cooked the vegetarian meal for his whole family this time and it was a success!
Here's wishing all my blogger friends who are celebrating Chinese New Year: happiness, good health, wisdom, courage, prosperity and peace in this year of the dragon!

ReplyDeleteHi Gerry, Jamie, Elizebeth, and Jenn, Happy CNY to you all (though Jamie, you are not celebrating this festival)! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Gong Xi Gong Xi! And... How come everyone seems to know how to make yee shang but me :P I'm not sure I even know what goes in it (except Yee Shang n crackers)
ReplyDeleteHappy CNY Aileen! Just google for the recipe for yee sang if you ever feel like making one yourself. :) There are many versions out there, just choose one with ingredients that you like to eat.
ReplyDeleteGong Hei Fatt Choy to you and family :) Am happy to hear about the successful vegetarian meal! Good job!
ReplyDeleteOMG so dumb right, never thought to just try google!! Just had this idea it's very traditional and I don't know how to get the ingredients and excuses, excuses, excuses :P
ReplyDeleteThanks Redbabe, Gong Xi Fa Cai to you and family too!
ReplyDeleteAileen, it just happens to slip your mind, that's all because you have more important and serious things in your brain than some old tradition "toss-toss" thingy. :D
