UCS is when you have rounded shoulders and your head juts forward when you walk. Quite true for me so I am going to have to read more about this and correct it. Do you know anyone who have UCS?
For more details on identifying UCS, here is an online article about Identifying Upper Cross Syndrome.
And for details on how to treat UCS, here is the online article about Treating Upper Cross Syndrome. You may pick and choose what to apply for yourself if your UCS is not that serious but I am not the expert here though I am not sure where to find the expert about UCS here.

Oh Mun, I never heard of it before.. so is there any treatment for it? I think it is best to leave it alone, right? Take care...
ReplyDeleteOf course there are treatments for it. No, you can't leave it alone because this syndrome is due to poor postures and in old age the person having this may end up as a hunchback and become more and more bent until cannot straighten up anymore.
DeleteHow is this syndrome diagnosed ? My husb is complaining that I m hunching more and more each day.

Mun Thanks, I will check it out.
DeleteLayman term, is it hunch-back?
ReplyDeleteI hunched since secondary school days, am trying hard now not ti hunch, but it's hard..
Hubby always says if I continue to hunch, then I will suffer in old age..
Yes, a hunch-back is someone with this UCS.
DeleteUnless of course the person is born with a deformed back thus making him/her a hunch-back.
DeleteInteresting! I probably do have this because that is how I sit. I don't know if I walk that way or not, but my dad sure does! Thanks for the links. I'll look into it.
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome. Hope the links help.
DeleteYikes! That's me! My husband is always telling me to correct my posture. Sigh... Thank you for the reminder.
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome! Let's work at getting our posture correct! :)
DeleteNever really pay attention to the UCS. But I guess it's always good to check ourselves to make sure we have proper postures. Thanks for sharing the information.
ReplyDeleteI think we should start by teaching children how to maintain good posture.
