3rd eyelid

Still so thin after a few meals. Don't like to drink water. Only will drink when very, very, very thirsty.

A noticed the 3rd eyelid during yesterday evening. Hope the 3rd eyelid will retract else need to bring to vet to treat. A did not notice them when he cleaned her face on Mon 29 Jul 2019 (date is approximate). A dropped food into post box on Tue 30 Jul 2019 (phol). Wed 31 Jul 2019 morning feed 2 tablespoons and go breakfast. Then back from breakfast, another tablespoon so maybe too much food.

The inner eyelid of cats--more properly called the palpebra tertia but also known as the nictitating membrane, third eyelid or "haw".

Why so Comot

From the archives, this is the first batch of photos found.

Not close enough to see whether the 3rd eyelid can be seen or not.

Brooding

Still not close enough to tell.

Smell the roses

I had a lovely surprise one day when I was helping out with the gardening. Please click the photo below to get a closer look. Can you see what I see?

A lovely golden pupa (chrysalis) hanging on one of the leaves. I was careful to leave it as it is. Isn't it beautiful?

Edible?

Look at what I found in my plant pot - yellow mushrooms!

Details about them (from searching the web):

Name: Lepiota lutea or Leucocoprinus birnbaumii
Edible: No, they are poisonous.
Precaution: Although the mushrooms do not harm the plant in the pot, if there is a danger of small children or pets eating them accidentally, they need to be removed from the pot.

As I have neither in my household, I let the yellow mushrooms be.

Sunbathing

One sunny morning, I spotted three kittens enjoying the sunshine on the roof. Can you find them at a glance in the small photo below? If not, just click on the photo to get a better view and you'll see them.

On yet another sunny morning, there they are again. They really know how to enjoy life!

Trees

I like the look of the trees below and would like to plant some near my house but I do not know the name of these trees. Any idea what trees they are?

Neat row of short trees
